Oh my, Caroline Reese! You are already 2 months old! You are getting so big and changing so much everyday! You look more like an infant now than a newborn.
Sweet Baby, you have started to smile at us more over the past few weeks. You often laugh in your sleep also. We think you must be having some really good dreams. You have the sweetest smile and your eyes get so big and bright when you are happy.
You have actually outgrown your newborn clothes and are now wearing 0-3 months or 3 months clothing. You moved up to size 1 diapers a couple of weeks ago! You weigh 10 lbs. 3 oz which is in the 40th percentile for your age. Your height is 22 1/2 inches which is in the 50th percentile. (You moved from the 15th percentile in height to the 50th over the past 8 weeks!! Tall girl!) Your head circumference is 13 1/2 inches around which is in the 60th percentile. You are drinking right at 4 oz. of milk every 3 hours or so. We are getting ready to have to put the 4 oz. bottles away and pull out the 9 oz. bottles!
You LOVE baths! You love to have your "Bath Buddy" fish on you to keep you warm and you love for us to pour warm water over you. We have also started drying you off with a blow dryer. (Thanks Loren and Landry for the idea!) You LOVE this also! I think you could lay there forever as long as we are blowing warm air on you!
You also LOVE to be outside. Whether we are swinging on the porch or out by the pool, you are so calm and relaxed. You are normally your happiest when we are outside.
We are happy to report that you are sleeping ONLY in your crib during the night. You sleep for about 3 1/2 hours at a time before you are ready to get up and eat. You typically take a morning nap from about 9:30-11:30 and an afternoon nap from about 1:00-3:00. These naps really help me to either catch up on some sleep as well or get some stuff done around the house.
We have been a little brave this month. We have allowed you to stay in the nursery TWICE at church! ha While this makes us a little nervous, you have been SO good each time you have gone and the ladies in there just fight over who gets to hold you.
I just love this expression! You are so funny! You have started making so many new facial expressions that just crack us up!
Caroline, while this second month has had it's challenges, you are still the BEST part of your Momma and Daddy's life! We love you beyond words and we are so enjoying watching you grow and discover new things. We love sharing "our joy" with others! You bring so much happiness and pride to your grandparents, aunts, uncles and so many others! WE LOVE YOU LITTLE GIRL, and we can't wait to see what is to come in this next month of your life!
